My Message To Parents
My message, to parents, is a simple one. Pull your heads out of the sand! No parent, in this world, today should ever say “My child would never do _____”. You have no clue what your child may do, when they get around their friends. You need to have the kind of relationship, with your child, that would make them not be scared to call you, if they ever had too much to drink. Don’t make your child so scared to call you that they would rather try and drive home drunk or ride home with a friend that had too much to drink. Hadn’t you rather be able to discipline your child the next day instead of visiting them in the hospital or morgue? I’m not saying you should condone drinking. I’m just saying that you should make it absolutely clear that drinking and driving, as well as riding with someone that has been drinking, will not be tolerated and that it’s ok to call you.
My Message To Friends
How many of you would play the real life game of Russian Roulette, with a loaded gun? When you drink and drive or ride with a friend that’s had too much to drink, you’re playing the game of Russian Roulette, with a car. I made it home drunk so many times, but it only took not making it home one time to completely altar my life. If you have kids, is it really worth taking that chance? Is it so bad to be or have a designated driver? Wouldn’t it be better to have a friend mad at you because you wouldn’t let them drive home drunk instead of going to that friend’s funeral? It really is time to think before you drink. Don’t drink and drive or allow your friends to drive drunk!
